We just saw this take out spot as we were leaving the H&L Seafood store (very good selection) We decided to try it out. I got a soft shell crab sandwich that was both soft and crunchy and had good crab flavor. Not a huge sandwich but just right for me. I chose the Cole slaw side and it is one of the best I have ever had! Very crunchy and not too sweet or salty snd not oozing sauce. Just right and I ate every bite of it! My husband got the flounder burrito- he-man size and great fish flavor. He wanted a little more head and a generous amount was offered right up so he could add as much as he wanted. The fries were ok, too. We’ll come back!

One of the best place to get live Mojarra Viva / Tilapia around Charleston area. The place is well maintained, kudos to Belen for being attentive, all smiles and going above and beyond!

Went to both H and L seafood store and H and L Kitchen across the street and was impressed by both. The store, though quite small has a huge selection of fish, shrimp and all kind of seafood, both fresh, frozen or in tanks! We then went to the kitchen. My wife had a soft shell crab sandwich with Cole slaw and I had the flounder burrito with French fries. Everything was excellent with plenty of fish and piping hot! It was my first time to H&L and I will be a repeat customer. I recommend both without reservation.

Each visit at H&L Seafood is always on point!! Their customer service is amazing and they never disappoint!!! Listen, their large male blue crabs are the biggest I’ve ever seen in the city and they consistently have fresh and large blue crabs every time!!! Armando and Dana are the best and they treat you like family!! So thank you!!

Went here tonight for scallops and shrimp. Very reasonable prices, and they offer a military discount! The kind lady helping me this evening went out her way for me and I really appreciate it. She was running around taking care of everyone as quick as she could. Y'all need a bigger store for how busy you were ;)

Went to H&L for the first time today. How have I lived here so long and not gotten food from this gem? We got fried shrimp and fries. There were at least 15 shrimp and I'm not talking small ones and they were fresh and a lots of fries. Both were so good. We will definitely be back.
